The union representing American Airlines pilots says its seen a spike in safety and maintenance problems. The Allied Pilots Association sent a message to members Monday that it's tracked reports of tools left in wheel wells, collisions while aircraft are being towed and more and more items left in the safety areas around jet bridges. The union also said it took these concerns to management and has been encouraged so far by the response.
