The Grammy winning artist has evencomplained about her management, Mathew Knowles — Beyonce’s father. There was also controversy over her pregnancy out of wedlock as she continued to minister. Most recently, the singer sat down withIyanla Vanzant, and as you might imagine, the two women clashed.
Last month, during a performance in Philadelphia, the musician told the audience she was free from alcohol after spending 30 days behind bars. She was even required to wear an ankle bracelet which forced her to realize she had a problem.
But when Iyanla calls her an alcoholic, Johnson initially denies it and claims to be one of those “functioning” types of addicts.
To which Iyanla responds: “Spoken like a true alcoholic.”
The life coach confronts the bad girl of gospel, who has lost herself an artist, a woman, and person of faith, in her crippling addiction to alcohol.
