Celebrating Missy Elliott's Videography: 10 Of Her Most Eye-Popping Clips

Even though it has been years since the release of a new album, Missy Elliott has left her impact on the culture that can be heard and seen amongst her discography. More than two decades since her debut, the rap titan's collection of videos, which were directed entirely by her two right-hand men (Hype Williams and Dave Meyers), remain just as eye-popping as they were in the late '90s and throughout the 2000s.

In honor of Black Music Month, iHeartRadio is celebrating the female MC with a look back at 10 of her craziest videos in no particular order. You try ranking her most eye-popping videos without difficulty. It's not an easy task. Scroll on below for a look back at some of her videography highlights.

1. "Get Ur Freak On" (2001)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: This was Missy Elliott's first video without director Hype Williams. "You see, I change my music and I change my image at the same time. I felt like as long as me and Hype continued to work together we would probably keep it going in the same kinda of direction," she previously admitted.

2. "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)" (1997)

Director: Hype Williams

Fun fact: Missy's famed inflated trash bag look was reportedly a "screw you" to all the execs who told her she was too fat to be in the music business.

3. "One Minute Man" featuring Ludacris and Trina (2001)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: Trina appears alongside Elliott and Ludacris in the video version of the hit song.

4. "WTF (Where They From)" featuring Pharrell Williams (2015)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: This video is her first clip since 2008's "Shake Your Pom Pom."

5. "Sock It 2 Me" featuring Da Brat (1997)

Director: Hype Williams

Fun fact: Missy pays homage to the one and only Michael Jackson when she and her dancers offer up an imitation of the King of Pop's "Smooth Criminal" dance.

6. "Work It" (2002)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: Myers shot the opening scene of the video with live honey bees. Only one crew member was stung during filming.

7. "Hit Em Wit Da Hee" (1998)

Director: Hype Williams

Fun fact: It's a star-studded affair as the clip features appearances from Magoo, Nicole Wray, Ginuwine, Playa, and Timbaland.

8. "Lose Control" featuring Ciara & Fatman Scoop (2005)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: Back in 2005, the clip was the most played video onBETand MTV2 and second most played video in the United States.

9. "Gossip Folks" (2003)

Director: Dave Meyers

Fun fact: Monica Parales (formerly of the girl group Forever) auditioned for the role of "Lead Kid Dancer" in "Work It," but lost the role to Alyson Stoner. Thankfully, she would end up co-starring with Stoner in "Gossip Folks" and "I'm Really Hot."

10.) "Hot Boyz" (1999) featuring Nasand Eve

Director: Hype Williams

Fun fact: Even though he's featured on the track, Q-Tip did not appear in the video and his contribution to the song was replaced with Elliott's rap verse from the original.
