NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick and his philanthropic efforts will continue in 2018, as the social activist recently shared how he will allocate the final $100,000 of his $1 million charity pledge.
“For the last round of my #MillionDollarPledge I’m going #10for10! My brother @KDTrey5 is joining & chose DeBug in the Bay Area! I’m donating $10k, KD’s donating $10k! Thank you brother for all the hard work! See it on http://kaepernick7.com,” he wrote on Twitter.
Snoop Dogg recently joined Kaepernick’s collection of famous friends who are supporting his efforts. The rapper said Monday he will donate $25,000 to Kaepernick’s Million Dollar Pledge, which aids various charities. (see clip above)
Meanwhile, one writer believes that Jon Gruden is “mulling over” the idea of signing Kaepernick to the Oakland Raiders. As noted by 247sports.com, “EJ Manuel is currently set to become a free agent, so the door is open for Gruden to bring in a new face, should he choose to.”
Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle reported that there are many reasons why Kaepernick signing to the Raiders makes sense, including the following:
“Kaepernick is in super shape, eager to play football, and Oakland is a perfect fit — the city and the team.”
“Gruden’s too busy with football to worry about politics, and he’s too cocky to believe that a little media attention on Kaepernick would derail the Gruden Train.”
He wrapped things up with by stating, “Don’t think Gruden’s not mulling this over.”
Do you think the Raiders and Gruden specifically should consider Kaepernick?
