Winfrey said in an interview after the show she does not have plans to run for president. Also, “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King said Tuesday that while Oprah is “intrigued” by the idea of running, King doesn’t think the TV mogul is considering it “at this time.”

As speculation swirled after Winfrey’s Golden Globes speech on Sunday, with the hashtag #Oprah2020 taking root on Twitter, CNN stoked the flames on Monday with its report that two of Winfrey’s friends told the network she is “actively thinking” about running for president in 2020.

Her longtime partner, Stedman Graham, told The Los Angeles Times that it’s “up to the people,” adding she “would absolutely do it.”

King said this morning that Graham “misinterpreted” the question, and believed the reporter was asking if Oprah would make a good president.
